As part of the Phase II redevelopment of the Saco Train Station, the following tasks were completed as part of the existing VRAP for the City of Saco, Maine. 

 

  • Excavation for the foundation and electrical conduit trenching to facilitate the installation of a wind turbine at the southeast corner of the Site;

 

  • Construction of a new 6,350 sq. ft. train station building and modifications to the adjacent train loading platform;

 

  • Installation of a closed-loop geothermal well to assist in the heating and cooling of the building;

 

  • Modification to utilities in the area surrounding the building including the storm drain line and electrical conduits; and,

 

  • Installation of new surface treatments, including a demarcating geotextile where soil replacement did not extend a minimum of 2 feet below grade.
