HEI is the lead environmental engineering firm for Leach Family Holdings, the developer of a 30 million dollar redevelopment EPA Superfund Site in Stratford, Connecticut.

The innovative reuse of this site, which has historically been contaminated with hazardous waste, is one of the first and largest USEPA Superfund sites to be remediated for beneficial reuse under the USEPA's "Brownsfield" projects. This multi-million dollar project is a model to be used for similar projects across the nation and is the EPA's highest priority site for this type of use.

HEI's involvement in this project has required numerous meetings with various USEPA officials, as well as CTDEP personnel, and municipal employees.
